The splendid metropolitan city of Hyderabad is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh and also the fifth largest city in India. This magnificent city is located on the Deccan Plateau on the banks of River Musi. Hyderabad also known to represent a cultural blend of Persian and Telugu, is around 400 years old. Hyderabad literally translates to ‘City of Hyder’ after Queen Hyder Mahal, wife of King Qutab Shah. Also, known by the epithet ‘City of Nizams’, the city was actually for a long time ruled by the Nizams. By rail you have passenger and express trains namely Konark Express, Pune Shatabdi, Rajkot Express, Hussainsagar Express etc and run on this route. A relatively economical means of transport from Pune to Hyderabad is by bus and the journey is also pretty comfortable.
