Bangalore is the city of Technology Parks. There are several IT parks in different parts of the city that are distributed throughout this metropolitan city at different parts. Bangalore is the best known city in the country in the field of technological developments. This city has been recently named as the fastest growing city in the continent of Asia and is the fifth largest city in the continent. Also, Bangalore is one of the ten fastest growing cities in the world. In the field of technology, Bangalore is ever growing and has a number of technological parks being planned and constructed ever at present. z

This is the capital city of Karnataka located in the southeastern part of the Indian state of Karnataka which is itself situated in the southern part of the country. An interesting fact is that Bangalore is located on the Deccan Plateau and that is why although neighboring parts of the country are quite hot and humid, Bangalore remains cool and pleasant throughout the year. 

The city is best known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ because of the many IT companies which are a part of this locality. The city is also known for its numerous malls which are also spread throughout the city. Also, street shopping is quite common in the city with a good number of people liking the idea of buying items at an affordable price. 

These street shops are very popular among Bangalore people. There are certain localities and streets dedicated completely for the purpose of setting up street shops. At times, the city is also known as ‘A Street-Shopper’s Paradise’. There are numerous hotels and restaurants in the city that serve food of different kinds. Bangalore is an extremely diverse city with people from almost every background living together in peace.

The city is known for its culture and traditions that it celebrates through festivals and fairs held at different times of the year. The festivals of Karaga, Diwali and Ugadi are commonly celebrated in this part of the country. Sometimes the celebrations of these are followed by cultural events that go on for days and weeks. 

 A large number of information technology companies are located in the city which add up to 33% of the Rs. 144,214 cores of IT export that happens in India according to a survey done in the years 2006 to 2007. The three main divisions of the city’s IT industry are: International Tech Park, Bangalore (ITPB), Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Electronics City. Infosys and Wipro, which are the country’s second and fourth largest companies in the field of software, have their headquarters situated in Bangalore city. Many other global companies have their headquarters in the city.
